Formula 1 is gearing up to launch a landmark new era with what could be the most significant regulatory changes in the championship’s history. The 2026 season will showcase dramatically different cars and power units as part of a comprehensive reset of the rules, potentially reshaping the competitive landscape.

As the sport ventures into uncharted territory, anticipation and curiosity are building around each team’s fresh designs ahead of the season’s start. This year, there will be a heightened level of confidentiality, especially with the first pre-season testing in Barcelona at the end of January taking place behind closed doors.

Here’s a detailed schedule of the 2026 car unveiling plans from each F1 team:

– Red Bull and Scuderia AlphaTauri (Racing Bulls) will jointly reveal their liveries on January 15th at Ford’s Detroit headquarters in the United States. Red Bull was the earliest to confirm its launch date.

– Audi will hold a “world launch” event on January 20th in Berlin, presenting the livery of its 2026 car, which will be visible to fans the following day. Audi is entering F1 by taking over the Sauber operation.

– Ferrari will introduce its 2026 challenger on January 23rd. Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc will conduct a shakedown run at Ferrari’s Fiorano test circuit the same day, and a ‘Spec A’ car will be taken to Barcelona for private testing three days later.

– Alpine will showcase its livery in Barcelona on January 23rd, just before the start of the season’s first pre-season test. Their new A526 model marks a shift as they switch to Mercedes engines, replacing Renault power units.

– Cadillac will make a unique debut by unveiling its first F1 livery during the Super Bowl halftime show on February 8th.

– Aston Martin, powered by Honda and designed by Adrian Newey, will be the first team to reveal a full 2026 car on February 9th. This announcement will come shortly before the first public pre-season test in Bahrain.

Teams yet to announce their launch dates include McLaren, Mercedes, and Williams.

Fan Take: This major shakeup in F1 rules and car designs is thrilling for fans, as it promises a more level playing field and unpredictable racing in 2026. The secretive build-up and diverse launch strategies only add to the excitement, hinting at dramatic developments that could redefine team hierarchies and the future of the sport.
