Joe Rogan Urges Dana White to Introduce Exciting New Title for Jon Jones vs. Alex Pereira Showdown at UFC White House

Joe Rogan believes the winner of the Jon Jones vs. Alex Pereira fight deserves a significant reward. The veteran UFC color commentator is pushing for UFC president Dana White to reconsider hosting the high-profile bout as the main event for this year’s special card in Washington, D.C.

Since President Donald Trump announced a UFC event at the White House, Jones has been eager to return from a brief retirement. Despite his stature as a headliner, Jones is even willing to appear on the undercard if it means being part of the White House lineup. However, Dana White has been firm in his refusal to schedule Jones against the current light heavyweight champion for the event.

Rogan hopes White changes his mind and even suggests the creation of a new title for the fight. Many others support White’s initial decision, but some celebrities, including Conor McGregor, are backing Jones. On his podcast, Rogan proposed a heavyweight version of the BMF (Baddest Motherf***er) title specifically for this matchup, highlighting the fight’s significance.

The original BMF belt, currently held by lightweight Max Holloway, was first introduced in the welterweight bout between Jorge Masvidal and Nate Diaz. Rogan’s idea is to add this special title for the Jones vs. Pereira fight, making it a unique and high-stakes event.

Despite the buzz, Alex Pereira recently indicated the White House fight might not happen, posting on Instagram with a photo of himself and Dana White, suggesting plans have fallen through. Meanwhile, speculation grows about Pereira possibly fighting Cyril Gane for an interim heavyweight title as Tom Aspinall recovers from an eye injury.

Fan Take: This situation highlights the intrigue and drama that surrounds UFC matchups beyond just the fights themselves. If Joe Rogan’s push succeeds, it could elevate the sport by creating memorable, must-watch events that attract even broader attention and solidify the UFC’s cultural impact.
