Devin Booker delivered a clutch basket with just 0.7 seconds remaining, leading the Phoenix Suns to a narrow 108-105 victory over the reigning NBA champions, the Oklahoma City Thunder. Although the Thunder held a 100-94 lead with four minutes on the clock, Booker, who contributed 24 points, nine assists, and six rebounds, broke their four-game winning streak with his lone three-pointer of the game.

Jordan Goodwin set a personal best by scoring 26 points and sinking eight three-pointers, while Suns teammate Dillon Brooks added 22 points, including 14 in the fourth quarter, at the Mortgage Matchup Center in Phoenix. On the Thunder side, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 25 points, Jaylen Williams had 23 points, and Chet Holmgren recorded 18 points and nine rebounds, maintaining their status as the Western Conference leaders with a 30-6 record.

The Suns, currently seventh in the West, had previously suffered a heavy 138-89 defeat to the Thunder in the NBA Cup quarterfinals last December.

Fan Take: This thrilling finish highlights the unpredictability and excitement that make basketball so captivating, especially with a clutch performance from a star like Booker. For fans, it signals that the Suns are a team to watch this season, potentially shaking up the Western Conference landscape and heightening the intensity of the playoff race.
