Williams Reveals Official Release Date for Their 2026 F1 Livery Unveiling

Williams F1 Team has revealed that they will unveil their 2026 car livery on February 3, coinciding with the start of their first season under the new Atlassian Williams F1 Team branding. Before this official launch, the team will debut a unique test livery in Barcelona at the end of January, a design selected through a fan vote.

With the exception of McLaren, every team has planned to reveal their new car designs as pre-season testing kicks off at the end of January, ahead of major regulatory changes in F1. Williams had a strong 2025, their best performance in a decade, achieving consecutive podium finishes in Azerbaijan and Qatar and climbing to fifth place in the constructors’ standings with 137 points—an impressive improvement from just 17 points in the previous year and nearly matching their 2016 tally of 138 points.

The team will retain drivers Alex Albon and Carlos Sainz for the upcoming season. Williams expressed excitement about showcasing a striking new design that aligns with F1’s sweeping 2026 rule changes, which bring shorter, lighter cars engineered for closer racing. These regulations represent the most significant shift in the sport in a generation, offering Williams a fresh chance to compete at the front once again.

Coming off their most successful campaign in nine years, Williams is poised to carry strong momentum into 2026. Earlier the same day, Mercedes revealed plans to launch their car on January 22 with a digital reveal, followed by a physical event on February 2.

Fan Take: This launch marks an exciting moment for racing enthusiasts as Williams continues its resurgence, showcasing progress and ambition under new ownership. The 2026 rule changes promise to reshape the sport’s competitive landscape, making every team’s car launch a crucial glimpse into who might dominate the grid in the years ahead.
