  • Mikel Arteta praises Leandro Trossard’s contribution to Arsenal
  • Leandro Trossard’s impressive stats for Arsenal this season

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta singled out Leandro Trossard, praising his consistency and bringing something different to the team.

The Belgian international is perhaps the most underrated player in the Premier League, providing the Gunners with an outside goal threat without necessarily doing anything flashy to grab the major headlines.

However, Arteta is clearly happy with Trossard, as he singled him out for a big shout-out ahead of tomorrow night’s crucial game against Liverpool.

At today’s press conference, manager Arteta said of Trossard:

“He’s got the ability, but I think the level of consistency he’s shown, especially this season, has been exceptional.”

“I think he’s a player who fits in really well with the team in all aspects of the game and offers something different than what we have.”

Arsenal signed Trossard from Brighton in January 2023, and the deal now looks like a huge success, with the transfer costing just £21m, according to a report from BBC Sport at the time.

Leandro Trossard’s impressive stats for Arsenal this season

Trossard is Arsenal’s top scorer this season with seven goals in all competitions, the same as both Bukayo Saka and Victor Gokeres.

The 31-year-old has also provided six assists in the Premier League and Champions League, proving he is a reliable scorer and creator no matter what position he plays.

Trossard could once again be key for Arsenal against Liverpool tomorrow night, a big test for Arteta’s side.

The Gunners lost to LFC at Anfield earlier in the season, but they were able to show they are serious about the title race with three points at the Emirates Stadium.
