  • Semenyo is expected to move to Manchester City for £65m
  • Semenyo is doing well this season as well.

Antoine Semenyo gave Bournemouth supporters a farewell moment they will never forget with his dramatic stoppage-time winning goal against Tottenham at the Vitality Stadium.

In what is widely expected to be his last appearance for the Cherries, the Ghanaian international scored a stunning goal for the home side in the 94th minute, sealing a thrilling 3-2 victory just when it seemed destined for a 2-2 draw.

Semenyo produced a trademark moment, cutting inside from the right and firing a powerful left-footed shot that arrowed into the far corner, leaving Tottenham’s goalkeeper with no chance.

While the home crowd celebrated the all-important three points, there was an unmistakable sense that the goal marked the end of an era.

The 26-year-old, who celebrated his birthday on the day of the match, received a standing ovation when he was substituted just before the final whistle, with supporters well aware that they may have witnessed his final act in a Bournemouth shirt.

Semenyo is expected to move to Manchester City for £65m

Despite strong links with several Premier League clubs including Chelsea, Manchester United and even Liverpool, it was Man City who were reportedly successful in signing the player.

The deal is reportedly worth £65m and is one of the biggest transfers of the current window, underscoring Josep Guardiola’s intentions to further strengthen an already strong City squad.

Semenyo will undergo a medical at the Etihad Stadium on Thursday before signing a long-term deal with the reigning champions.

Fabrizio Romano’s latest update reveals that Semenyo has bid farewell to Bournemouth, with the player set to undergo a medical in Man City tomorrow.

Semenyo is doing well this season as well.

Semenyo left the south coast in bright red. With the win against Tottenham, he increased his Premier League record to 10 goals in just 20 appearances this season, making him third in the league’s scoring list.

Only Brentford’s Igor Thiago and Semenyo’s team-mate Erling Haaland have found the back of the net more often.

It was the perfect farewell for Bournemouth. For Manchester City, this could be the arrival of another devastating attacking weapon, and for Semenyo it could be the next chapter in his impressive development.
