        • Rosenior has to drop a Chelsea flop of 4/10 which is a bigger liability than Cucurella.

If there’s one thing Chelsea can trust at the moment, it’s that they can’t be trusted.

Just a few days ago, the Blues were rightly praised for their impressive 1-1 draw away to Premier League title-chasing Manchester City.

But instead of building on that positive result, the West Londoners promptly undermined it on Wednesday night with a 2-1 defeat to Fulham in a shocking performance that showed Liam Rosenior was doing his job.

Fortunately, Chelsea appear intent on making several more signings this month, including a quality international player who could end Tosin Adarabioyo’s time at the club.

Chelsea Target Monster Toshin Upgrade

Despite having some very talented players, it is clear that Chelsea need to improve some key areas of their squad.

For example, apart from the out-of-form Cole Palmer and Estevao, who is only 18 years old, their wide range of options still leaves room for improvement.

But perhaps the most pressing concern is defense.

Next to the likes of Reece James, Wesley Fofana and Levi Colwill, the West Londoners’ defensive options are quite underwhelming, which explains why they are keen on their additions.

At least that’s according to recent reports in Spain claiming that Chelsea are interested in Kim Min-jae.

The report reveals Rosenior believes strengthening his backline will be key this month and believes Bayern Munich’s ace is the ideal player to sign.

The good news is that the South Korean international is reportedly available for a transfer fee of around 30 million euros, or around £26 million, which is also what the Blues are willing to pay.

So, given the reasonable fee and Kim’s ability and experience, this is a move Chelsea should make as soon as possible, especially since he would be a dream upgrade for Toshin.

Why Kim Min-jae will be Dosin’s last at Chelsea

The first reason why Kim’s arrival could spell the end for Toshin at Chelsea is his incredible experience and know-how.

Indeed, the former Fulham star has made more than 100 Premier League appearances, but his most important achievement has been winning the Conference League.

Moreover, his performances for the Blues in the top flight leave much to be desired, especially as mistakes like the one against Leeds United this season have directly cost the team.

On the other hand, Koreans not only have experience in some of the world’s top leagues, but they have also won championships in those leagues.

For example, he was a key member of the Napoli side that won their first title in a generation in the 22/23 season.

A few years later, he played over 2,000 minutes with Bayern Munich as they reclaimed the Bundesliga title.

Finally, if you compare Toshin’s numbers this year to his underlying numbers from last season, when he played regularly, the difference is night and day.

According to FBref, the defensive “monster”, dubbed by journalist Jason Hanshin Lee, outperformed the Blues ace in almost every relevant metric, including progressive passing, key passing, passing accuracy, ball recovery, interceptions and blocks, all with 90 points.

These indicators show that if given enough playing time, the former Napoli star is an incredibly modern centre-back, capable of playing with the ball at his feet and willing to rush in.

Ultimately, with the price reportedly current, Chelsea should sign Kim as soon as possible as he would be a monster upgrade for Tosin.

Rosenior has to drop a Chelsea flop of 4/10 which is a bigger liability than Cucurella.

It’s been another bad day at the office after Rosenior’s Chelsea blunder.
