  • Spurs to sign Souza
  • Souza will be excited too.

Tottenham Hotspur are heavily linked with a move for Souza from Santos.

They were hoping to sign the 19-year-old Brazilian left-back this month and have now agreed personal terms with the player. According to Fabrizio Romano, he also has a contract worth 15 million euros with the Brazilian club, but the terms of payment are being used to be agreed between the two sides.

Spurs to sign Souza

Tottenham appear to be close to signing him. It remains to be seen whether they can put this move together quickly. The 19-year-old is a great talent with a bright future and could be a great long-term investment for the London club. They are looking to build for the future and have recently invested in several young players.

Tottenham need more depth in their left-back department and the 19-year-old could compete with Destiny Oudogie for a starting spot. If the competition for places intensifies, Tottenham will be able to grow as a team.

However, the 19-year-old is more than just a defender. He can play an advanced role as a wing-back. He will continue to help Tottenham.

A move to the Premier League would be a big step up for the young defender as he looks to make his mark on English football. It will be interesting to see if he can hit the ground running and establish himself as a key first-team player.

Tottenham have been successful in developing young players and are hoping to develop the 19-year-old into a future star. If Souza can fulfill his potential with them, the €15 million investment could look like a great bargain.
