Leeds United have been linked with a move for Union Berlin defender Danilo Doek.
The 27-year-old Dutch defender is “very keen” to join Leeds United and the development would be a huge boost for the Premier League side. It will be interesting to see if Leeds decide to make a formal offer and sign a deal depending on their interest.
Doeki wants to test himself in the Premier League and a move to Leeds United would be ideal for him.
According to TEAMtalk, Leeds are currently playing a waiting game in order to sign the player for a reasonable fee. If we are to survive in the Premier League, we need to tighten up at the back. Ideally, they would sign a quality defender. Leeds United manager Daniel Farke is a fan of the 27-year-old Dutch defender and has been keeping an eye on his progress for quite some time.
Leeds are fighting to stay in the Premier League and need to strengthen their squad in January. They can look vulnerable at the back at times and need more depth and quality in that area of the pitch. Additionally, they prefer a back-three system, with Joe Rodon currently sidelined with an ankle injury. Signing another central defender this month would be a wise move.
The player is clearly open to this move and Leeds should do everything in their power to get a deal done. Union Berlin would be disappointed to lose a key player like him midway through the season, but even if a suitable offer is made, they won’t be able to prevent him from leaving.
