Tottenham striker Matthijs Tell is unhappy with his lack of playing time at Spurs and could reportedly be open to a transfer offer in January.

The 20-year-old was regarded as an exciting young talent at former club Bayern Munich, but has struggled to establish himself at Spurs since first joining on loan and was later made permanent.

Tell has scored just six goals in 38 appearances for Tottenham, so it’s no surprise that he now appears to be falling out of favor with manager Thomas Frank.

And, according to trusted RMC journalist Fabrice Hawkins, Tell is open to leaving the Spurs in January for more playing time.

Hawkins posted on his official X account: “Excluded Matthijs Tell wants to increase his playing time at Tottenham and will listen to offers this winter. Leaving is not out of the question.”

After Bayern and Tottenham’s struggles, what’s next for Matthijs Tell?

Tell needs to make the next move right if he is to make the most of what looked like a truly impressive career at the highest level.

The Frenchman has been playing regularly for Bayern since he was still a teenager and should still have the desire to develop into an even better player in the coming years.

Perhaps Tottenham should give him more chances, but that doesn’t seem to be happening, so he needs to go somewhere where he is guaranteed first-team football.

Tell has had the misfortune of falling down the table at both Bayern and Spurs, so it will be interesting to see if he can bounce back with his next move.

As of now, no specific club has partnered with Tel, but perhaps we’ll learn more about potential suitors as the month progresses.
