Manchester United are interested in signing Wolves midfielder Joao Gomez.

They will also face competition from Atletico Madrid and Napoli. According to Marca (h/t SportWitness), Manchester United want to sign the player at the end of the season, but it remains to be seen whether the 24-year-old will wait for them.

Meanwhile, Atletico Madrid hope to sign the player this month. They recently sold Conor Gallagher to Tottenham and are seeking the Brazilian to replace him. They have funds ready to complete the transaction. It remains to be seen what the players will decide. It would be ideal for Wolves and Manchester United if he decides to stay until the summer.

Wolves are fighting to survive in the Premier League and will not want to lose one of their best players. They hope to sell him in the summer instead. It would also benefit Manchester United and it will be interesting to see if they can convince the midfielder to wait.
