  • Jonas Omlin needs a move
  • Sunderland could use Omlin

Sunderland are hoping to sign Borussia Mönchengladbach goalkeeper Jonas Omlin in the January transfer window.

According to a report by Pete O’Rourke, Sunderland have already begun negotiations to sign a goalkeeper from the German club, but it remains to be seen whether a deal will be finalized.

Jonas Omlin needs a move

The player has struggled to get regular minutes at the German club and is currently second in the pecking order to Moritz Nikola.

The Swiss international has yet to play a single minute against Gladbach, but he will be keen to make a move. He will aim to get regular opportunities and get his career back on track. It will be interesting to see if the Premier League site is willing to offer him that platform.

Sunderland are looking to add more depth and quality to their squad in a bid to maintain their current form until the end of the season. They sit in the top half of the Premier League table and hope to stay there until the end of the season. It has been a great season for Sunderland so far and it remains to be seen whether they can finish in the top half. This will be a great achievement after securing a promotion.

This season, they acquired multiple quality players, which led to impressive performances on the page. It remains to be seen whether they will be able to sign the Swiss international before the end of the contract period in January. The 32-year-old is a quality player with a wealth of experience and could be a hugely beneficial signing for Sunderland.
