  • Celtic begin approach to sign Mukasa

Celtic are reported to have started making an approach to take Josep Guardiola’s beloved Premier League attacker on loan this month.

Kvankala: “It’s a great honor to join Celtic”

The Bhoys have endured a difficult month on the transfer front but have managed to secure Tomas Kvankala ahead of this weekend’s crucial game against Hearts.

Martin O’Neill will be hoping to finally solve Celtic’s frustrating attacking problems after acquiring the great striker on loan from Borussia Mönchengladbach.

The veteran manager told the club’s website: “We are delighted to welcome Tomáš to the club. We believe he has real qualities and will be an important addition to the team in the future.”

Meanwhile, Mr. Kvankara expressed similar joy, saying: “I am very honored to have signed with this club and am very excited to get started and contribute to the team.

“There are many challenges ahead of us, but I am ready to take on them and do everything I can to bring success to our amazing supporters.Celtic are one of the great names in world football and I am delighted to play my part here.”

Hoop looks like he’s going to miss out.

It remains to be seen whether the new player will go head-to-head against Hearts, but it would certainly be a good way to become a hero in Glasgow.

Victory would move the Hoops to within three points at the top of the Scottish Premiership and set up an exciting final few months of the campaign.

That’s why the Scots will feel there is an absolute need for more signings before the end of the month, amid recent links with Datro Fofana and other impressive young players in the Premier League.

Celtic begin approach to sign Mukasa

As reported by Celtic Way, Celtic began an approach to sign Divine Mukasa on loan from Manchester City, but the City quickly rejected the approach.

Guardiola is reportedly a big fan of the 18-year-old attacker and wants to keep him rather than loan him out to Scotland this month.

Mukasa’s performances at youth level speak for themselves and drew praise from Under-23 scout Antonio Mhango, who called the attacking midfielder “unique” last November.

Now he is ready to feature in the first team, even if it doesn’t happen at Celtic. Of course, the Bhoys had already loaned out one City talent in Jermai Simpson-Pewsey earlier in the campaign, but it was far from working out.

City’s refusal could be due to relapse concerns, and that’s not what they want from their promising young stars this season.
