  • Anthony Robinson open to move to Anfield

According to Team Talk, Liverpool are reportedly preparing a new move for Fulham and USMNT left-back Anthony Robinson.

The 28-year-old defender has long been admired at Anfield and talks are progressing with Andy Robertson and Tottenham, with Liverpool now accelerating plans to bring Robinson to Merseyside before the end of the January transfer window.

Robinson attracted the attention of Liverpool last summer, but the club ultimately opted to sign Milos Kerkes as a long-term option at left-back.

However, the Reds currently believe the partnership of Robinson and Kelkes is the ideal structural setup for their left-sided defense.

Liverpool decide on Robertson’s replacement

With Robertson potentially set to leave after nine seasons at Anfield, Slott and the club’s sporting director believe Robinson offers the perfect combination of Premier League experience and tactical aptitude.

The American international has quietly become one of the Premier League’s most reliable full-backs over the past two seasons.

His elite pace, strong defensive recovery and improved delivery in the final third made him an impressive performer in a Fulham side that exceeded expectations under Marco Silva.

Robinson ranks among the league’s best defenders in progressive carries, defensive duels won, and interceptions.

Sources close to Robinson say he is very keen to join Liverpool and believes the move would be a major step forward in his career.

The chance to compete for trophies, play in European soccer and develop under top-level coaching is considered very attractive for the USMNT star.

However, Fulham remain in a strong position. Robinson’s contract runs until 2028 and Silva has repeatedly stressed the importance of keeping the core squad intact.

Robertson, one of the club’s modern icons and arguably the Premier League’s best left-back of the past decade, could leave as part of a major squad shake-up designed to support Slott’s long-term vision.

Robinson’s move will be an important step in that evolution. If Liverpool are able to sign a deal with Fulham, they will secure a player who is in his prime.
