Guided by trainer Bill Mott and jockey Junior Alvarado, Knightsbridge required just a gentle urging to finish 4¼ lengths ahead of Back ‘Em Up, with Life & Times falling back to third place. Knightsbridge, the betting favorite coming into the contest with a record of 4 wins and 5 losses, improved his career stats to 7 wins and 5 losses, marking his second consecutive Grade 3 triumph.
