Manchester United icon wants £75m deal with ‘legs and an engine’ to partner Maynou

Former Manchester United defender Jaap Stam has urged the club to sign Carlos Baleva from Brighton at the end of this season.

“I really like Carlos Baleva at Brighton and think he could replace Casemiro at Manchester United,” Stam told TEAMtalk.

“I also really like Frenkie de Jong, but it looks like he’s going to stay at Barcelona. Manchester United need to find a replacement with good legs and an engine that can get around the field. He also needs to be very good on the ball. Baleva can do that.”

“Koby Mainu seems to have improved his level and is performing very well. Along with him, we need players who have good quality of the ball, can defend well and can also join in the attack at times, getting into the box and scoring or creating goals for their teammates.”

The African player has performed well for the Seagulls in the Premier League and could be a great addition to Manchester United. They need more physicality, defensive ability and drive in the middle of the park, and the 22-year-old could be the ideal long-term partner for Koby Mainu.

It will be interesting to see if Manchester United are willing to pay for him. The player is likely to command a premium price and is valued at around £75m. Even if the asking price is quite high, this player has the qualities to be a worthy investment for the future.

He has already established himself as an important player in the Premier League and will only develop further with guidance and experience. Baleva has all the tools to develop into a world-class midfielder with the right guidance.

The opportunity to join one of the biggest clubs in the world will be exciting for him. Manchester United could offer him a platform to fight for trophies in the coming seasons.
