  • What did Carlos Mendoza say about the New York Mets’ struggles?

New York Mets manager Carlos Mendoza opened up to the struggle his side has faced with the MLB season so far, claiming his subordinates are “passing through it.”

Why is the New York Mets’ attack struggling?

For the New York Mets, it was difficult for the next few days as they lost three consecutive games against the New York Yankees and the Boston Red Sox for the first time this year.

Their latest match ended with a 2-0 loss to the Red Sox. This highlighted the issues their attacks faced at this point.

In fact, the Mets have not scored more than two points in the game in the last three losses, securing only two walks and four hits against the Red Sox.

As mentioned earlier, the Mets were unable to break two points from the final three points, but taking a wider spectrum really highlights this as they only scored 10 runs from seven games.

Juan Soto, one of the highest paying players in MLB, is involved with five of these and may require more support from his teammates.

Their final home run came on May 14th when they defeated the Pittsburgh Pirates 2-1.

What did Carlos Mendoza say about the New York Mets’ struggles?

Carlos Mendoza revealed the struggles he faces now, particularly looking at what his offensive players are “experienced.”

Mendoza said: “We’re going through it now. There’s no doubt. We’re struggling to grab people consistently. And when we hire those people, we’re struggling to put them offensively, we’re going through it now.”

Despite the clear negativity of the attack, Mendoza tries to remain positive and believes that his side can quickly turn things around.

Mendoza said: “It happens. We have to keep fighting, we have to keep working, we have to stay positive. We have to turn the pages. That may not sound right, but that’s what we have to do. We have to keep fighting.”
