Gilbert Arena is thinking about a new MVP, Shy Gilgauss Alexander was able to pass Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has been selected as the league’s new MVP. It was the result of many people feeling it was a form, but there’s no denying that the Oklahoma City Thunder Superstar deserves it.

This MVP victory was just under 24 hours after the Thunder won Game 1, and Shy received a lot of criticism for how he played.

Even NBA commentators have excavated shy for his simulation antics. However, criticism from the game is washed away as he won the MVP award.

Shai is the third OKC Thunder player to win MVP in 2011, matching the achievements of Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook in 2014 and 2017, respectively. However, Gilbert Arena believes he has the opportunity to surpass them.

Talking about his podcast, Gilbert Arenas spoke about the legacy of Shy Gilgauss Alexander as the Oklahoma City Thunder star.

He believes that if the Thunder wins the NBA Championship, he will outweigh Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook as the biggest lightning ever.

“I think in KD, the way it ended, they were like, ‘It’s cool, we’re switching you’. f *** KD’s record.

“If he wins it, I think it’s a high probability for the championship, he has something no one has. It’s going to put him there. He’ll be the best player in OKC history.”

There was little debate as to who deserves the MVP award. Even Giannis Antetokounmpo enjoyed how inevitable his victory was.

As incredible as this achievement, Shy and Thunder are not wiped out by this achievement.

Now they’re up 1-0 against the Minnesota Timber Wolves. However, Anthony Edwards and the Timberwolves claim they know what they need to do next.

The Timberwolves are dangerous when sleeping in Edward. Especially because they are more experienced in meeting finals than the Thunder.
