“Okay…” – Mikel Arteta perfect response to Paul Scholes’ bizarre criticism of Arsenal

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has given the perfect answer when asked about Manchester United legend Paul Scholes’ criticism of his team’s style.

At Monday’s press conference, Arteta was asked about concerns about his tactics and how interesting the style of football this season has been.

Arsenal have their detractors, but Arteta mainly insists he has only heard good things from people he has spoken to across Europe.

The Spanish tactician was also asked specifically about Scholes, as pundits have been outspoken about Arsenal being particularly boring to watch.

See below. Arteta ignored it in pretty damning style, making it clear how little Scholes’ opinion mattered to him.

Arsenal fans don’t care about style as Arteta’s side move closer to title

Arsenal don’t exactly play the free-flowing, attacking football that has been their trademark for years under manager Arsene Wenger, but that approach hasn’t always brought them great success in the second half of the Frenchman’s reign.

Arsenal fans will just want to see the club get over the line as they chase the Premier League title and approach the Carabao Cup final.

On top of that, Arteta’s approach has seen the Gunners top the Champions League with eight wins out of eight.

While many teams have achieved success with different approaches, Wenger’s Arsenal side have often been criticized for being poor at adapting their tactics to get results when needed.

It now appears that the AFC have excelled in that regard, drawing criticism as well, and Arteta will continue to shut out the noise from media figures like Scholes.
