The Pittsburgh Penguins have announced that they have activated defenseman Ryan Graves from injured reserve. Graves had not played since January 21 against the Calgary Flames due to an upper-body injury, but with his return, he is now available as a regular option for the team.

This season, Graves has taken part in 19 games for the Penguins, registering one goal, 15 hits, 35 blocked shots, and a -2 plus/minus rating. Additionally, he has played 13 games with the Penguins’ AHL affiliate, Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, where he scored two goals, provided seven assists, and achieved a +6 rating. Over three seasons with Pittsburgh, Graves has played 150 games, accumulating five goals, 14 assists, 19 points, along with 162 hits and 250 blocks, though he carries a -7 rating.

Fan Take: Graves’ return could boost the Penguins’ defensive stability and energy on the ice, which is critical as they push toward the postseason. For hockey fans, this development promises exciting on-ice action and could be a key factor in shaping the team’s playoff run.
