  • Will Lewis Diaz and Marcus Rashford be able to move this summer?
  • What does Lewis Diaz hold in the future?

Barcelona director Deco has openly spoken about his liking of Liverpool stars Louis Diaz and Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford.

With clear hints on Barca’s transfer plans this summer, Deco suggests that the Catalan giants are looking for a winger, while Diaz and Rashford are in the names of the list.

Still, Deco was keen to not go into too much detail about this as he said he prefers not to talk much about other club players.

As journalist Fabrizio Romano reported on his previous Twitter, see below for Deco quotes about Diaz and Rashford…

Deco said: “We like Lewis Diaz. We like Rashford. We like other wingers too. We can’t talk about players signed with other clubs.”

Will Lewis Diaz and Marcus Rashford be able to move this summer?

Rashford imagines it will definitely be available after losing his favor at Man United and rented it out to Aston Villa in January.

But Diaz could be a different story. He shines in Liverpool and there seems to be little reason for the Reds to let him go anytime soon.

Barcelona already has two great wingers for Rafina and Ramin Yamal, so it’s hard to imagine where either Rashford or Diaz from this team will appear.

What does Lewis Diaz hold in the future?

Discussing this particular part of the Liverpool news, we spoke to the KOP’s Farrell Kiring Empire for his insight into Diaz’s future.

“I’ve found Liverpool in an interesting position this summer,” he said. “The left-wing slots are undoubtedly the most balanced on the team. Between Cody Gakupo and Luis Diaz there are two top-quality options that are fighting it for hegemony.

“Based on that, Arne Slot and Co. needs to do everything possible to maintain this sense of balance.

“Of course, the player’s interest in moving to Barcelona is well established at this point, but he also made it clear that he is willing to engage in contract consultations with Liverpool (before the conditions that expire in 2027).

“If Barca could generate important funds, we could see him go. But the Catalonians don’t seem to have two spare pennies to rub together.”
