Valencia goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili has revealed he will be coming to Liverpool as the transfer approaches.

Georgia International may think it’s not easy to play regularly for Anfield with Alison Becker in goal, but it doesn’t seem like it will stop him from trying.

As reported by BBC Sport last summer, Mamardashvili will join Liverpool in the 2025/26 season on a deal worth £209 million.

Liverpool chose not to take Mamal Dashvili with him last season, but it appears he doesn’t expect to go out on loan in the coming months.

See below for his latest quote on his future, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano…

“I’m not thinking about another loan move. I’ll be spending the next season at Liverpool,” said the 24-year-old.

“I go to Liverpool and give everything I do in Valencia. I work hard every day and my training with Alison helps me.”

Who will be Liverpool’s number one next season?

Mamardashvili’s arrival at the LFC will give manager Arne Slot a bit of a headache next season.

Allison is clearly number one at the moment, with the Brazilian shot stopper having another great season that adds to his great career at Anfield.

It’s hard to imagine Mamardashvili walking straight into his first choice, but is he certainly too good to sit on the bench and spend the season?

A big summer change in Liverpool

The situation between Mamardashvili vs Alisson will be interesting to see, but there will be other major changes to Slot’s team this summer.

Trent Alexander Arnold is about to close his contract and publicly confirms that he will leave with a free transfer.

I imagine others like Darwin Nunez and Jarel Kuanza could potentially become players on a team that is moving ahead, but of course, Khaoimhin Kelehar would certainly not take if yet another top-class goalkeeper competes.
