Manchester United are aiming to strengthen their attacking line with the signing of Yann Diomande at the end of the season.

The 19-year-old has enjoyed a good run at RB Leipzig and is attracting the attention of first-team players. TEAMtalk reports that Manchester United are keeping an eye on the Ivorian and could lead the race to sign him in the summer.

Man United’s eyes Yann Diomande

“Yang Diomande has been floated as a potential name. In fact, there is growing speculation among recruiters that Diomande could be United’s first choice[to replace Rashford].”

“Other clubs who have inquired about the RB Leipzig winger understand that United are very interested and could lead the race to sign him when the summer window opens.”

The player is also reported to be dreaming of a move to Liverpool. It remains to be seen whether the Premier League champions are keen on signing him. You should be able to use something of higher quality and depth over a larger area. They need a Cody Gakpo upgrade.

Diomande adds explosive speed and flair to the offensive unit. He has contributed to 14 goals this season.

Meanwhile, Manchester United signed Brian Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha to strengthen their side at the start of the season, but it remains to be seen how Diomande will fit into the starting XI.

The 19-year-old will aim to join a team where he can play a prominent role. Sitting on the bench won’t be an option for him. It will be interesting to see where he ends up. He is a great player with a bright future and with the right guidance he could develop into a world class player. He also doesn’t seem like a cheap acquisition.
