TPC Scottsdale, home of the PGA Tour’s annual Super Bowl weekend, is here. As always, the 2026 WM Phoenix Open serves as the biggest party on tour this season. Hundreds of thousands of fans pour through the gates outside Phoenix, creating an atmosphere unique on the PGA Tour.

This event isn’t for everyone, but those who attend this week are well aware of what they’re walking into, and those who embrace the frenetic atmosphere can become a beloved force in the desert.

Headlining the field this week is Scottie Scheffler, who just won his season debut at American Express. Scheffler asserted his on-field advantage with the win in California and now heads to TPC Scottsdale. There, he won his first career victory in 2022, and followed that up with another victory in 2023. As has been the case every time he tees it up lately, Scheffler is the heavy favorite, and with three wins he’ll tie Phil Mickelson, Arnold Palmer and two others for the all-time record.

In addition to the world’s No. 1 player, the WM Phoenix Open will feature a number of other top stars and former champions of the game. Brooks Koepka will be making his second start of the season as he returns to the PGA Tour in a tournament he has won twice. Hideki Matsuyama also won the WM Phoenix Open twice. Meanwhile, Xander Schauffele, Cameron Young, Collin Morikawa, Jordan Spieth, Chris Gotterup, Viktor Hovland and others will all be aiming for their first win at the WM Phoenix Open.
