Chelsea are interested in signing RC Strasbourg’s Argentina ace Valentin Barco.

Boravip reports that Chelsea’s new manager has asked club executives to sign the player. He worked with Barco during his time at the French club and is well aware of the South American’s quality and potential.

He told Chelsea executives: “I want Valentin Barco to come back.” Meanwhile, Enzo Maresca was also interested in Barco.

Could Chelsea sign Valentin Barco?

It will be interesting to see if Chelsea are keen on signing him at the end of the season. There is no doubt that they could offer more quality and depth in the squad, and the Argentine would be ideal. He is a great player with a bright future and with the right guidance he could become a key player for the club.

The opportunity to reunite with Rosenior and join one of the biggest clubs in the world will be extremely exciting for the South American. It could be the ideal next step in his career. Regular participation in the Premier League could accelerate his development and allow him to reach his potential.

Strasbourg is owned by Blueco, the same parent company as Chelsea. Therefore, it is reasonable to think that an agreement could be reached easily.

The 21-year-old is versatile enough to function as a left-back, central midfielder or wide player. He could be the ideal utility man for Chelsea. If he can fulfill his potential with them, this deal could look like a huge success in the future.

Barco has one goal and four assists in Ligue 1 this season and will only improve with coaching and experience. He is familiar with Rosenior’s system and is able to settle in quickly and make an immediate impact.
