Daniel Cormier Looks On in Shock as Reality Show Clash with Jon Jones Explodes into Chaotic Melee

One of the UFC’s most legendary rivalries has been revived on a recent reality television series.

Earlier this year, it was announced that Daniel Cormier and Jon Jones would serve as opposing coaches on the newest season of ALF Reality. Given their storied past, any footage involving both fighters is guaranteed to draw significant attention.

This reunion was first confirmed by comments made by Jones and Cormier during the show’s filming. Although Cormier initially joined the program due to a challenge from a rival and the financial incentive, new clips suggest he might be second-guessing that choice.

Daniel Cormier was initially reluctant to accept the coaching role opposite Jon Jones on the Russian-based reality show, which has featured many of the UFC’s top stars in recent years. In 2025, Cormier expressed that he did not want to spend a month in Thailand with Jones, especially since neither of them can still compete physically.

Rumors of a Cormier versus Jones showdown on the series circulated since the announcement. However, a recent video released by ALF Global revealed that the drama and confrontations on the show don’t rely only on the coaching rivalry. Last year, Jon Jones’ stint with Nate Diaz was cut short following a violent altercation that led Diaz to leave and not return.

This season may feature a new co-coach, but the environment remains just as turbulent, with teasers showing Cormier visibly concerned as multiple fights erupt throughout the show.

Jones recently addressed his health in a video, revealing that he suffers from severe arthritis, causing him immense pain that forced him to rest during his last training camp. When asked about the chance of facing Cormier in a Real American Freestyle Wrestling match, Jones highlighted his predicament but also expressed determination to come back for the June card at the White House, despite the pain.

Given their current roles as rival coaches, this season will likely mark the final chapter where these two UFC legends are seen facing off against each other in any competitive form.

Fan Take:
This reunion of Cormier and Jones on ALF Reality offers fans a rare glimpse into the tension and drama behind one of MMA’s greatest rivalries beyond the cage. Their dynamic could redefine how combat sports storylines are told on reality TV, potentially attracting new audiences and evolving the sport’s entertainment value.
