Exclusive: Premier League clubs could be forced to sell Arsenal and Liverpool targets

As the summer transfer window approaches, several Premier League giants, namely Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea, are considering reviving interest in Newcastle United winger Anthony Gordon. I caught an offside sauce.

The 24-year-old became one of the UK’s most popular young talents after a strong season with the Magpies, prompting speculation about a potentially prominent move.

Chelsea had previously pushed hard to secure Gordon’s services during Thomas Touchel’s tenure.

It was believed that Bruce was approaching a final decision on the deal, but Newcastle swooped to sign the former Everton winger, closing down Chelsea’s progress.

Despite missing out on that opportunity, the West London Club could potentially return to the table, but the current Gordon rating in Newcastle ranges between 850-90 million euros, which could prove to be a stumbling block for any suitor.

Meanwhile, Arsenal is actively looking for attack reinforcements, with a special focus on adding quality depth to its wings.

Mikel Arteta’s side is closely monitoring Gordon’s development, and the door could be opened for negotiations as Newcastle faces financial uncertainty due to potential concerns about profits and sustainability regulations (PSR).

However, Arsenal’s recruiting team is assessing whether such a high price tag makes sense to them at this point.

Liverpool is also monitoring Gordon’s situation. The Reds are well-versed in his quality and admire his direct playstyle, but their potential approach is measured.

Gordon is said to be happy at St. James Park and will focus on solidifying his position in the UK team for future international competitions.

His satisfaction in Newcastle can reduce the chances of a summer departure unless financial pressure forces the club’s hands.

Newcastle publicly wants to keep Gordon behind the scenes “at every cost,” but there is a perception that if budget constraints become tight, major sales could be needed.

If the club is pushed to make a critical outgoing transfer, Gordon will undoubtedly be one of the most sellable and high value assets available in the Premier League.

If they can maintain stability without selling, then Gordon will stay. Otherwise, a bid war could continue.
