  • The latest in Dellup’s future in Ipswich

        • Their New Chaplin: Ipswich is about to sign “ruthless” striker for free

The town of Ipswich has shown flashes of quality all over the world in the Premier League this season, but unfortunately it has not stopped the loss next to its name.

For all memorable victories over Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur, the tractor boys were also offered a dark defeat, with a last taste of an unfamiliar feeling of victory at the beginning of April.

Thus, relegation straight back to the championship did not impact Kieran McKenna’s men much. They are beginning to prepare for life without Liam Dellup when they readjust the second tier.

The latest in Dellup’s future in Ipswich

Many of Ipswich’s brighter moments this season are courtesy of the former Manchester City striker.

The tractor boys risked signing Dellup last summer for £20 million. This looked like a ton of things back then, considering that he had never made his name in the senior fold at Etihad.

However, the current strong Premier League proven attacker can move on with almost double the amount if Ipswich is demoted, as his release clause is £30 million.

Chelsea, Newcastle United and Manchester United are all reportedly keen on the 22-year-old’s landing, the talk of the 22-year-old, with the Guardian recently reporting that a £150,000 move from Reuben Amorim’s men pushing Dellup’s path.

To add humiliation to the injury, this is not the only morale-lowering sale that one of Delap’s teammates is ready to cut it out long term from Portman Road, so this is not the only morale-lowering sale that you have to sign off right away.

Another important Ipswich star can leave

McKenna is a popular figure among and around the tractor boys, so she hopes to be able to maintain his core group due to the tough challenge of returning to the top flight soon.

However, Rafe Davis was soon able to join Delap through the exit door on the newly relegated side. A new report from TWTD suggests that Nuno Espirito Santo’s Nottingham Forest maintains a vast fullback ahead of a chaotic summer transfer window.

Davis didn’t have the most consistent rampage of Ipswich’s big name, but only three assists were called up from outings in the 31 leagues, but given his expertise when he stopped in the championship, it would be a big hole filling his left flank if he went.

Along the way to Ipswich clinching automatic promotion at the end of the dramatic 2023/24 campaign, the former Laise United Man scored an astonishing 21 assists, with a 2.9 key pass averaged by league.

Losing this from the tractor boys attacking game back in the EFL would be disastrous. Thus, the “sensational” fullback – he has been praised in the past by football journalist Stuart Watson – perhaps just how effective he was on his previous level, he is a proud star.

After all, Ipswich managed well without clinical number 19 when Davis and the company last surged into the Premier League, with Connor Chaplin, Nathan Broadhead and many others instead chipping in on strike to the Premier League.

It will be interesting to see if Northern Irish people move to city ground and other meadows.
