Hollywood producer Jerry Bruckheimer told the BBC that the follow-up is now underway. Featuring an impressive cast including Kerry Condon and Javier Bardem, the first film grossed $630 million (£467 million) worldwide and earned four Academy Award nominations, one of which was for Best Picture. Bruckheimer emphasized, “We are working on a sequel,” but did not disclose a release date.

The movie was created through a collaboration with F1 and Apple during the 2023 season, incorporating real footage of current F1 drivers both on and off the track.
