The news comes just as the Gunners prepare for a crucial fixture in February.

Reliable journalist David Ornstein of The Athletic said Germany’s players were “going to throw the game away”.

The club will hope the problem does not become a long-term issue, but the timing could not have been worse for Mikel Arteta’s side.

According to Ornstein’s report, the 26-year-old forward is expected to miss Arsenal’s next Premier League game against Brentford and, most importantly, the North London derby against Tottenham Hotspur on February 22 due to the muscle issue.

Losing a key attacker for the trip to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is a huge setback at this stage of the season.

The German is expected to miss at least four games.

Havertz’s stay at Arsenal was ruined by injury

Havertz’s tenure at Emirates has been increasingly marred by fitness struggles.

Since his high-profile move from Chelsea, the German has struggled to maintain a consistent place in the starting XI without interruption.

Critics have noted that his inability to stay healthy has prevented him from fully settling into a specific role within the team, oscillating between midfield and false-nine positions.

Arsenal suffers blow in title race, with Manchester City close behind

The injury occurred at a critical moment in the title race.

Manchester City have looked stifling and overbearing in recent weeks and Arsenal cannot afford to drop points.

The Gunners’ injury list is growing at an alarming rate, and the squad’s depth is stretched to the limit.

With so many important games to come, Arteta will need to rely on his bench to get him through this difficult period.
