“Number One Target” – Fabrizio Romano confirms the city’s interest in Newcastle players

Man City is ready for a very busy summer transfer window as they aim to bounce back from the overwhelming 2024-25 season. One position they plan to address is the right back, which has been having a lot of issues over the past 12 months.

Kyle Walker’s decline led him to be dumped by Pep Guardiola before joining AC Milan in January. Since then, right-backed operations have been Matheus Nunes and Rico Lewis, but Man City is hoping to see experts bring in over the summer. And now they are aiming for one of the brightest talents in the Premier League.

As reported by Fabrizio Romano, Mancity made Tino Libramento the number one target on the right back. The 22-year-old had an incredible season in Newcastle. He has also been used as a left back several times.

“Tino Livramento remains the number one target in the rear right.

There is no doubt that Livramento will become Man City’s top signature. Of all the candidates they considered in the right-back position, he is the best option. But just as Romano escaped, Newcastle makes it very difficult for England International to leave this summer.

Livlament, who joined Newcastle from Southampton in 2023, remains on the contract for three more years, so there is no pressure to sell to Carabao Cup winners. And considering he bought for a fee in the £32 million region, it’s no surprise to see their asking price far exceed this amount.

It is still unclear whether Man City will be able to sign Livlament this summer, but to increase their chances, they should expect Newcastle to drop out of the Premier League Champions League location on Sunday.
