The PGA Tour’s first signature event of the 2026 season will bring the world’s top players to the iconic venue for the 2026 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. Reigning champion Rory McIlroy will make his season debut in the United States, but he will have to survive against a strong field of young players if he is to win again at Pebble Beach Golf Links.

McIlroy’s biggest challenge will come from No. 1 Scottie Scheffler, who emerges as the favorite with 3 wins and 1 loss for his second championship of the season. Schaeffler has already achieved a win and a T3 in the first two events of 2026.

Joining the top players in the field is last week’s winner, Chris Gotterup. He has already won two games in 2026, making it clear that his surge in the second half of last season was no fluke.

Like McIlroy, Pebble Beach will see Tour Championship winner Tommy Fleetwood for the first time this season on the PGA Tour, having finally broken out at East Lake last August and entering 2026 with high expectations.

The field is split for the first two days of competition between Pebble Beach and Spyglass Hill, with Spyglass Hill always playing as the more difficult of the two courses, before returning to Pebble Beach for the weekend. McIlroy and Fleetwood are among the players to start the week at the Spyglass, while Scheffler begins his quest for his first title in the Pro-Am at Pebble Beach.
