No one knows whether there will be a Premier League champion any day now, or whether Arne Slott’s fragile side will emerge, as we have seen so often at Anfield in recent months.
Slott will be keen to bring some stability to his side after the win at the Stadium of Light and the visit of Brighton & Hove Albion in the FA Cup provides a platform to do just that.
The FA Cup is also an opportunity for Liverpool to rest certain star players and give the likes of Rio Ngmoja a chance to further impress. But Slott admitted that choosing the team for this Saturday’s match was no easy task.

Mane has been the lone bright spark in Wolves’ incredibly dark season, contributing four goals in the Premier League and earning plenty of praise from manager Rob Edwards at just 18 years old.
