According to talkSPORT, the RB Leipzig winger could be available for £80m this summer, which is lower than previously reported, but the price could drop further if his club miss out on Champions League qualification.

In his recent column for CF Bayern Insider, Christian Falk provided an update on Diomande’s situation, reporting that he could leave Leipzig this summer for around £86.6 million.

Falk also named Liverpool and United as potential candidates for the Ivorian international.

It looks like his £80m price tag could fall again as Leipzig currently sit fifth in the Bundesliga and risk missing out on next season’s Champions League qualification.

According to talkSPORT, the talented 19-year-old is being scouted by the likes of Liverpool, United and Chelsea.

It remains to be seen exactly how much money Leipzig will ultimately demand for Diomande, but some fans may even feel that £80m ultimately looks like a bargain.

The teenager has nine goals and four assists so far this season, and it’s easy to imagine those numbers improving if he joins a bigger club.

How Yann Diomande can adapt

It’s not yet clear whether Diomande will definitely leave, or where he will end up, but it’s easy to see why Liverpool would consider him a priority following the decline in form of the aging Mohamed Salah this season.

United, on the other hand, could make further changes as Matheus Cunha has been a bit inconsistent since his arrival last summer, although departed players such as Marcus Rashford and Anthony will need to be replaced.

Finally, given Chelsea’s focus on signing and developing young players, Diomande could be a good option and is likely to be seen as an upgrade over inconsistent players such as Alejandro Garnacho and Jamie Gittens.
