The Los Angeles are expected to be busy with free agency next offseason. Regardless of how the 2025 season ends, the are already linked to star outfielder Kyle Tucker.

MLB Insider Jim Borden has revealed that Tucker is expected to sign a substantial deal of over $600 million this winter.

“Following a $765 million contract in Juan Soto’s free agency and a $500 million extension for Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Tucker is expected to sign a nine-figure deal that starts at six,” writes Bowden. “Several big teams, including the Cubs, Phillies, Yankees and , need to play for him.”

This season, Tucker cut .278/.387/.552 with 12 home runs, hitting 35 runs, with an OPS of .939. The 28-year-old is a silver slugger, Gold Glover, and a three-time All-Star.

This is not the first time the have been linked to an outfielder this year. Just a month ago, LA reportedly expressed a trade debate with the Chicago White Sox for Lewis Robert Jr.

The have one of the best rosters in baseball, but the team doesn’t have any outfield depth, as is evident from the lack of both Tescal Hernandez and Tommy Edman during the stint on the injured list.

Michael Comfort’s continued struggle was also a concern.

The agreed to a one-year, $17 million contract last year in offseason, and manager Dave Roberts envisioned that the outfielder’s tenure in Los Angeles would pan out in a similar way to Hernandez’s first season with the .

Two months after the season, Conforto’s performance was not ideal as he hit 0.164 on two home runs and six runs. However, in the final 10 games, the outfielder hit .265 with an opening of .771.

Anyway, the can certainly use the outfielder heading into 2026, and Tucker is the perfect solution. But it would be hard to imagine LA winning a bid war against a team that needs him more.
