England youth international George Jobling was released from Chelsea’s academy this week, with Tottenham securing his contract.

TEAMtalk reports that the London club have secured the England international’s signature and are expected to sign him to a professional contract when he turns 17. The teenager’s talent is highly regarded at youth level and has a bright future ahead of him. He could be a quality long-term signing for Tottenham.

Chelsea let George Jobling leave the club

It is unclear why Chelsea decided to let the player leave, but there is no doubt that Spurs are delighted to sign the young defender. They are looking to build their squad for the future and Jobring could be a beneficial acquisition for them in the long term. If they can help him develop and fulfill his potential, they could ultimately save millions of dollars in the transfer market.

Meanwhile, the young defender will be happy to have joined one of the biggest clubs in the country. He will now focus on his own development and will force his way into Tottenham’s first-team plans in the future. The defender will no doubt be trying to prove that Chelsea were wrong to let him leave.

On the other hand, Tottenham must also strive to acquire players who can be immediately effective in the first team and contribute to the team’s growth.

It has been a disappointing season for them, with them now closer to the relegation zone than qualifying for the Champions League. It will be interesting to see if they can turn things around in the coming weeks. They have hired Igor Tudor as their new manager and it is hoped that he can turn things around.
