  • Pirouet could move this summer as Scottish interest grows
  • ‘Deadly’ Agyeman could be Piroué’s likely successor
        • Leeds’ £7m gold medal winning star is now worth more than Calvert-Lewin & Stach

Leeds United are now set to press ahead with the signing of a ‘lethal’ Championship striker amid new updates on Joel Pillow’s future at Elland Road.

Pirouet could move this summer as Scottish interest grows

Celtic and Rangers were both interested in signing Piroue during the January transfer window, and Danny Rohr’s side are likely to renew their interest in the signing later in the season after the Dutchman has fallen down the pecking order at Elland Road.

With Gers also under the ownership of the 49ers, they have an advantage over Celtic in the race for the 26-year-old, and Los Blancos could be in a position to allow him to leave given their deep pool of centre-forward talent.

Daniel Farke already has Lucas Nmeka and Dominic Calvert-Lewin, the latter of whom had an excellent debut season at Elland Road, scoring 10 goals in his opening 24 Premier League games.

However, if Piroué leaves, manager Farke may need to bring in another centre-forward at the end of the season, with the Championship star emerging as a target.

This is according to a report from Football Insider, who say Leeds are now set to press ahead with a deal for Derby County striker Patrick Agyemang, but there could be competition for his signature with Premier League rivals Crystal Palace also in the hunt.

Derby expect Agyeman to receive a major offer in the summer transfer window, but given his importance to the team they will only allow him to leave if they receive a “really significant” offer.

The American will be part of the USMNT team for the next World Cup, and if he performs well, there could be more interest in his role.

‘Deadly’ Agyeman could be Piroué’s likely successor

Piroué has struggled to make the step up to the Premier League this season, making just 11 appearances in the top flight and often being limited to substitute appearances, so it would make sense for him to join Rangers this summer.

Leeds’ £7m gold medal winning star is now worth more than Calvert-Lewin & Stach

Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Anton Stach are two of Leeds’ best signings in recent years.

The Derby star was praised by journalist Lee Curtis earlier this season and could be a solid replacement.

Speaking after the 25-year-old’s 3-0 win against Sheffield Wednesday, Curtis said:The Americans had to wait for their chance, but brilliantly got the first goal. He finished sharply inside the far post, giving Charles no chance. He saved me even a second after the break. When Derby needed him, he was deadly. It was very dangerous. ”

The 12-time U.S. international has been impressive in front of goal throughout the campaign, finding the back of the net 10 times in 30 championship appearances and also dishing out four assists.

Agyeman could be ready to make the step up to the Premier League and with Piroué’s future in doubt, he could be the ideal addition to Farke’s side.
