Leeds United striker Joe Gerhart is currently on loan at Hull City and is doing very well for the club.

He has scored 11 goals for the Tigers, and the team hopes to sign him permanently after the season. He has no future at Leeds and it would make sense for him to leave the club permanently at the end of the season. It will be interesting to see if he can continue to impress Hull City and help them push for promotion.

Hull City keen on Joe Gerhart transfer

Tigers sporting director Jared Dublin has confirmed that the Championship hopefuls will aim to make the move permanent.

“The split is probably the most important thing, especially for Joffe,” Dublin told Hull Live.

“There’s a lot of moving parts right now as to whether Leeds will retain their Premier League status or be relegated. In the case of Joffe, that’s very clear. Joffe, who I’m president and manager, knows how much we love him, how much we value him and how much we want him to continue the Hull City story. That’s settled. We’ll see what happens.”

Leeds United will not want to keep the player against his wishes. It would be reasonable to assume that the transfer will be approved eventually.

Gerhard is no longer a key part of their plans and it doesn’t make sense for them to keep him at the club. They will look to sell the player and recoup some funds from his departure. Meanwhile, the striker is enjoying his time at Hull City and is trying to sort out his long-term future so he can focus on his game again.
