Manchester United keen on Karl Rushworth

Chelsea and Tottenham are interested in the goalkeeper, with Rushworth likely to be his replacement. According to TEAMtalk, Manchester United are keen on the player and it remains to be seen whether a deal will be finalized. They could use more quality and depth in the goalkeeping department.

Manchester United have been monitoring Rushworth for several months.

Andre Onana is currently on loan, but is likely to become a permanent transfer in the summer. Rushworth could be his ideal replacement. The opportunity to join Manchester United would be a very exciting one for the player. It would be a big step up in his career. It will be interesting to see whether Manchester United make a formal offer to finalize the deal.

The 24-year-old could compete with Senne Lamence for the starting spot. Rushworth is yet to make his senior debut for Brighton.

Brighton, on the other hand, rate him highly and will not want to lose him easily. It remains to be seen how the situation will develop. Manchester United may have to pay a premium to get the deal done. It won’t be difficult for them to convince the player, but it is unlikely that Brighton will make it easy for him to leave.

Manchester United need more quality and depth in their squad if they want to fight for major trophies next season. They are aiming to get back to the top of English football and need a higher quality squad. A player like Rushworth would be a great signing. He could push the Belgian goalkeeper into the starting lineup, and the competition for the position could lead to the development of both players.
