The Portugal international continues to perform well on the pitch with Saudi Professional League giants Al Nasr and will be a player to watch at this summer’s 2026 World Cup.
Still, we may see more of Ronaldo expanding his business empire off the pitch, with Romano saying Almeria probably won’t be the last club the 41-year-old invests in.
“Please understand that the investment in Almeria is only the beginning of Cristiano Ronaldo’s future projects, and not the only one. Cristiano is keen to invest in ambitious projects and clubs, if more opportunities present themselves in the future,” Romano wrote in a post for X.
What’s next for Cristiano Ronaldo?
Ronaldo is one of the most famous figures not only in football but also in the world of sports, amassing a huge fortune after a legendary playing career.
The BBC was one of the news outlets that recently reported that Ronaldo has become football’s first billionaire, so that definitely means he’s going to put that money somewhere else.
Manager Romano has yet to name a specific club that CR7 could target, but there are undoubtedly Manchester United fans who will be keeping an eye on this.
Many Red Devils supporters will be unhappy with the Glazers and Sir Jim Ratcliffe, so maybe Ronaldo will be involved at Old Trafford at some point.
Ronaldo is one of Manchester United’s best ever players and would be seen as the ideal person to return and steer the club in the right direction.
That’s probably a long way off at the moment, but it will be interesting to see if Ronaldo really takes this kind of investment seriously and explores even more ambitious projects in the future.
