Off-track “B**** T” will not affect Marco Bezzecchi on track at the UK MotoGP

World champion teammate Marco Betzecki claims that off-track rumours surround Aprilia and Jorge Martin, he has not been affected.

Betzecki spent most of his Friday afternoon practice session at the British Grand Prix, making it his fifth time after a final time attack, but Aprilia has been at the heart of rumors about Martin’s potential departure.

“Finally, I’m not focusing on bullshit when it comes to me,” said Bezzecchi of Apriria Racing after practice at Motogp in the UK.

“Fortunately, at the end I feel the same as yesterday, or the same as a month or two ago.

“So, of course, it’s positive to have a good day for me, but my relationship with Aprilia has been great and I’m extremely proud to ride for them.

“For me, (nothing) has changed – it’s always the same.”

Bezzecchi said Silverstone’s track layout is also an advantage for RS-GP.

“We usually struggle a little more with hard braking, where we always miss stability from the rear,” explained Betzekki.

“This is a truck with less hard brakes. We have it, but like turn 6, turn 15, turn 16 (only).

“So the rest of the track is fast and flowing, and our bikes usually work really well in that area, which is why I felt good.”

He added: “The corner speed that a bike can have is good. The traction is very good and the movement is not bad. We have some issues with braking and braking, both in acceleration.

“Overall, these are the main features of the bike.”

In the actual fifth position, Betzekki will be straight to Q2 on Saturday. It’s still important for Italians to have a good starting position, despite Silverstone having more opportunities to pass than circuits like Jerez.

“Of course, it’s always important to have a good starting position,” Betzekki said.

“Jeles is extreme because it’s really hard to overtake. Here, fortunately, we have a place that has been overtaken even more.

“Anyway, the first two corners are tough too, so it’s better to start from the front. For example, last year was a hit. It’s easy to make a mistake.

“Everything can happen in the race, so I’ll try my best and try to be far ahead.”

Finally, Bezzecchi ran some new aspects with his seat unit, but the explanation of the effect was vague.

“I tried them out at the Jerez test, and I tried them here too,” he said.

“They give us more loads on some aspects of riding. It’s difficult when there’s strong winds, but overall they work well, so I like them.”
