  • Oliver Glasner leaves Crystal Palace this year
  • Will Will still come to Selhurst Park to replace Glasner?

Crystal Palace are preparing for a crucial summer of transition after manager Oliver Glasner confirmed he will step down at the end of the season.

The Austrian’s impending departure has accelerated behind-the-scenes planning at Selhurst Park, with Eagles executives now tasked with identifying a successor who can sustain progress while leading the club into a new chapter.

No clear front-runner has emerged publicly, but recent developments have fueled speculation.
Former Southampton manager Will Still was in attendance at Old Trafford on Sunday, X’s sources have reported.

His presence has sparked debate over whether the 33-year-old could be considered for the soon-to-be vacant south London role.

Glassner’s decision to step down comes at a critical moment.

Since taking over, he has sought to modernize Palace’s approach, building on the foundations laid during the previous government, with the aim of introducing a more progressive possession-based system.

He led the team to success in the FA Cup and Community Shield and oversaw the best era for the south London club.

However, disagreements with the club’s board and its policies made it difficult for him to continue at Selhurst Park.

Still’s appearance at Old Trafford inevitably raised eyebrows.

The Belgian-born English manager attracted widespread attention during his time in France at Stade de Reims, where he became one of Europe’s youngest top-flight managers and was praised for his tactical intelligence and motivational skills.

Although his short stay at Southampton was less successful in terms of results, he embraced high-intensity football and showed a willingness to develop young players.

Still is a progressive coach with strong analytical skills and is seen as having the right qualities for Palace’s evolving structure.

However, questions remain as to whether the club would leave such an important appointment to a relatively inexperienced Premier League manager.
