Liverpool are interested in signing Federico Dimarco from Inter Milan in the summer transfer window.
He will face competition from Arsenal and Manchester United for the 28-year-old Italian defender. Dimarco is exactly who he is and is a special asset to the Italian team. He has already contributed 22 points and is also an excellent defensive player.

Liverpool focus on Federico Dimarco
Liverpool are likely to lose Andrew Robertson at the end of the season and will need a replacement for the Scotland international. Signing an Italian player could be a wise decision. He has the quality and experience to replace Liverpool’s star player. Meanwhile, Sports Boom reports that signing the player could cost around 80 million euros this summer.
He is a “workhorse” for the Italian club and they don’t want to lose him easily. It remains to be seen whether Liverpool are prepared to pay €80 million for a full-back. They need to improve in other areas of the team as well.
Meanwhile, they pounced on Hungarian defender Milos Kerkes early in the season. He is currently the club’s first choice left-back position and it seems unlikely that they will remove him from the starting lineup and sign DiMarco for a big sum in the summer.
If a left-back does arrive, it is likely that he will be a back-up to the Hungarian player, rather than signing an established player.
Dimarco is a man in demand.
Meanwhile, Arsenal and Manchester United could use more depth at full-back and it will be interesting to see if they are willing to pay a premium for the Italian.
He is currently at the peak of his career and playing his best football for an Italian club. Whoever ends up signing him will have a star on their hands.
