The 22-year-old has made a huge impact at Barça recently, earning him a reputation as one of the best young full-backs in Europe.
Fichajes said Barcelona would ideally like to keep Balde, but they face interest from Manchester United and recognize that they may need to accept an offer in the region of €40 million to alleviate their financial problems.
It will be interesting to see if this develops into something concrete, but if the Red Devils can land such a top talent at a fairly reasonable price, it would be quite a coup.
Alejandro Balde joins Manchester United
United are certain to make further changes to their squad this summer, with Balde likely to be a useful addition to the club as a long-term successor to the aging and injury-prone Luke Shaw.
MUFC signed Patrick Dorg in January last year, but with him eventually playing further up front, it could make sense for Balde to be their first choice for a new left-back role.
Given his age, rumored asking price and all-round profile, it’s hard to see this as anything other than a great signing candidate for United.
Alejandro Balde Transfer Fit Review

| The need for squads | ***** |
The only concern is his recent performance, with his form actually declining slightly this season with a WhoScored rating of just 6.70, but fans are probably pretty sure that’s just a temporary blip.
United fans will be hoping something significant develops here, but whether it’s a particularly viable deal probably won’t be clear for some time yet.
Fijages could be highly speculative, so even if there is interest from United and it would definitely be a great deal, it doesn’t mean it will actually happen.
