Real Madrid are reportedly evaluating a number of potential managerial candidates ahead of next season, with Mauricio Pochettino also emerging as one of the names being considered.

According to sources cited by ESPN, the Argentine coach is on the club’s shortlist as the Spanish giants consider possible replacements for Alvaro Arbeloa.

Discussions regarding the future direction of the club are ongoing, with president Florentino Pérez believed to be closely involved in shaping the next phase of Real Madrid’s sporting project.

Pochettino, who is rumored to be moving to his former club Tottenham, is in high demand, with teams in the Premier League and La Liga expected to make moves to sign him after this summer’s World Cup.

Real Madrid leaders have reportedly begun considering potential manager candidates.

No final decision has yet been made regarding Arbeloa’s future, but sources say the club is preparing for a possible dugout change.

A former Real Madrid player, Arbeloa has been part of the club’s coaching structure for several years, working closely within the organization’s development system.

However, running Real Madrid comes with immense expectations and the club’s leadership regularly re-evaluates direction to ensure continued competitiveness at both domestic and European level.

The former Spanish defender was given the job following the sacking of Xabi Alonso this season and has struggled to stabilize the team ever since.

The north London club, currently fighting relegation in the Premier League, are looking to stabilize the club and believe Pochettino is the right man for the job.

The manager is reportedly interested in returning to Tottenham despite his struggles.

With Real Madrid now on the horizon, Pochettino would undoubtedly prefer a move to the La Liga giants.

This would give him the chance to manage in La Liga again and work closely with world-class players such as Kylian Mbappé, Jude Bellingham and Vinicius Junior.
