Former Manchester United goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel has slammed Tottenham interim manager Igor Tudor over his handling of Antonin Kinski.

Watch the video clip below of Schmeichel speaking on CBS Sports about Tudor’s surprising decision to sub out Kinski less than 15 minutes into last night’s loss to Atlético Madrid.

A big decision was made to start Kinski over Spurs’ usual first-choice goalkeeper, Guglielmo Vicario, but the decision quickly appeared to backfire as Kinski looked very unwell and conceded three goals early on.

Still, Schmeichel says he feels Tudor should have stuck with the keeper at that point, rather than removing him and replacing him with Vicario in a humiliating moment…

“This is going to be a moment that everyone in football remembers when they see (Kinski’s) name and hear[Kinski’s]name…We have to follow him until at least half-time…He completely ruined his career and I’m really sorry,” said the Manchester United legend.

Igor Tudor’s Tottenham nightmare continues

The latest result means Tudor has now lost all four games he has been in charge of Tottenham since taking over as caretaker manager following the sacking of Thomas Frank.

The Croatian tactician has done a great job of stabilizing the Spurs squad, and he could actually do without headlines like this as he looks to improve team morale.

There is now certainly a very real risk of Tottenham being relegated, and last night’s 5-2 defeat away to Atletico certainly means they will be knocked out of the Champions League.

It will be interesting to see if Tudor actually lasts much longer, as it seems like things have only gotten worse since he was trusted with the THFC job until the end of the season.
