PONTE VEDRA BEACH, FL — 2026 Players Championship Opening Game After a day of rain, changing winds and fluctuating temperatures, a few competitors remained on the course but did not finish. Mother Nature’s exit stage remains for the second round, with players looking at contention but with some looking to avoid the 36-hole cutline, and could get through 18 holes early Friday.

One player hoping to maintain his spot on the leaderboard is Sahith Segala, who was the last remaining player to finish the round tied for first at 5 under. Segala will tee off at 8:40 a.m. ET on the back nine with Rickie Fowler and Jordan Spieth and will experience a rapid turnaround.

An interesting name to watch on Friday is Xander Schauffele. The two-time major champion is trying to find his form again in 2024, and that could be a factor this weekend. He has two T-2s in his locker, so he has yet to win The Players Championship, but a win at TPC Sawgrass would be a nice addition to his growing resume. He has only one T-10 this season and started off reasonably well with a 3-under 69 on Thursday.

Meanwhile, in the afternoon, world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler will try to find his footing as TPC Sawgrass remains dry after Thursday’s rain. The two-time Players Championship winner tied Tommy Fleetwood’s 69 and Justin Thomas’ 68 for the highest threesome (even par). This group will play from the first hole at 1:42 p.m.

See a complete list of second round tee times at TPC Sawgrass below. Check out the complete TV schedule and coverage guide for the 2026 Players Championship. Also, be sure to follow live updates from The Players Leaderboard as play continues on Friday.
