Leeds United are looking to strengthen their attacking line-up in the summer and have identified Troy Parrott as a target.

The 28-year-old has enjoyed a good run with AZ Alkmaar in the Eredivisie and has also impressed with the Ireland national team.

There have also been rumors that the former Tottenham Academy graduate could return to the Premier League. It remains to be seen whether Leeds are prepared to offer him an exit in the summer. It’s no secret that they need a reliable goalscorer and the 28-year-old could be ideal for them.

There is a possibility that he will share the responsibility of scoring goals with Dominic Calvert-Lewin next season. Parrott has 28 goals and 10 assists this season.

The opportunity to move to England could be exciting for him. This is the perfect time for him to take the next step in his career and prove himself at a higher level. He may feel he has unfinished business in English football. Parrott has also been linked with a return to Spurs.

Is Parrott preparing to return to England?

“Troy Parrott deserves a lot of credit for what he has achieved in his career,” said Mick Brown. Football Insider.

“It was a courageous decision to leave Tottenham and the Premier League to go to Europe and focus on developing my game and becoming a better player.

“Now he has proven himself to be a top player, not only at his club but also on the international stage, and is constantly attracting interest from Premier League clubs.

“All Premier League clubs will be sending scouts to Holland to keep an eye on talented players and he will definitely catch their attention.

“Leeds, for example, are in dire need of a striker and we are keeping an eye on him.

“They want someone to compete with Calvert-Lewin or play alongside him.

“If there is any indication that Parrott could be available this summer, I would expect them to do everything in their power to respond because he looks ready for a move to the Premier League.”

Leeds United are currently fighting to remain in the Premier League. It remains to be seen whether safety can be ensured in the top flight. They need to stay awake if they want to sign a quality player like Parrott in the summer.
