Liverpool midfielder Alexis Mac Allister has reportedly given his agent clear instructions to pursue his dream move to Real Madrid.

According to Fichajes, the Argentina international feels ready for a new challenge and the next few weeks could be crucial in determining his future.

Mac Allister is also said to be on the radar of Real Madrid as they look for new signings in that area of the team, so this could all end up being a win-win for everyone.

Of course, that wouldn’t necessarily be ideal for Liverpool, but perhaps there’s an argument to be made that Mac Allister could be replaced as his form has gone down a bit this season.

Alexis Mac Allister on Real Madrid’s list

Mac Allister is not the only big name in the Premier League to attract interest from Real Madrid, with talkSPORT recently linking Chelsea’s Enzo Fernandes with the Spanish giants.

It will be interesting to see what happens to Fernandes, who has been suspended by manager Liam Rosenior for Chelsea’s next two games, but this could perhaps signal that his time at Stamford Bridge could be coming to an end.

Still, CFC have also invested heavily in the former Benfica player, so they wouldn’t be too keen on letting him go for anything other than a huge amount of money.

Mac Allister could then become a more realistic option for Los Blancos.

Could Liverpool replace Alexis Mac Allister?

LFC might do well to change things up in midfield this summer after a disappointing campaign, as Mac Allister doesn’t look like he’s completely replaceable.

According to Fichajes, the 27-year-old was recently linked with Real in a potential swap deal that could bring Eduardo Camavinga to Anfield.

If Liverpool pull it off, it could be smart business, with Camavinga offering more physical presence and more defensive discipline in the position, while also being young and with the potential to continue to develop in the coming years.
