Newcastle United midfielder Sandro Tonali is a target of Manchester United and Manchester City at the end of the season.
But it won’t be easy for them to close the deal. TEAMtalk reports that Newcastle value him at £100m, but that’s not the only transfer issue. Juventus are interested in the 25-year-old Italian international and Tonali is keen to return to Italian football. It will be interesting to see if the interest from Juventus is attractive to him.
Tonali has also been linked with a move to Arsenal.

Sandro Tonali will improve both Manchester clubs
There is no doubt that he is a quality player and he has proven that in the Premier League. He has been a reliable defensive midfielder for Newcastle and has qualities that could also improve Manchester United and Manchester City.
Manchester United need a long-term, quality replacement for Casemiro and Tonali would be the ideal choice. He is firmly established in the Premier League and could make an immediate impact. Manchester City, on the other hand, have relied too much on Rodri as a defensive midfielder. The Spain international needs more support and an alternative would be ideal. Tonali will be able to share the workload with Rodri.
Tonali’s contract looks complicated
It remains to be seen whether the two Manchester clubs are willing to pay around £100m to get the deal done. He will need to be persuaded to postpone his plans to return to Italy.
This is not an easy agreement and it remains to be seen how the situation will develop in the summer. Newcastle will want to retain their best players so they can compete at a high level.
